Guide Network

New Wilderness Adventures: Guide Network is a group of men bound together in a common mission to orient, teach and release men to bear God’s image as He intended; restoring them through our Lord Jesus. Simply, they are guides fulfilling the great commission and inviting men to launch into the great Adventures that is life in Christ.

Our guides accomplish this in a variety of ways designed around their unique personalities and giftings as designed by God. Some examples include: life coach, mentor, financial counselor, fishing/hunting guide, ministry consultant and/or professional counselor.

Guide Training

New Wilderness Adventures walks with all of the Guide Training Participants intensely for 9 months in a mentoring/guiding relationship, training and equipping them to do ministry within their area of passions and calling and releasing them into the Adventure that Christ has called them. We are currently taking applications for 6 spots that available for the 2009 year. Please download the outline for your review and application for training below and return by March 18th, 2009.

Guide Training Intensive

All Guides plan for the very best. They study and scout for the best routes and try to have the correct gear and maps. They are trained to see trail blazes and signs of danger ahead. But part of the expedition is always veiled in mystery. Is the river up? Have bears moved into this area? Is the bridge in disrepair?

The Guide Training will take you on this expedition, an expedition of the heart, of your desires and your calling. March 30th is the beginning of the expedition. It will start with a week long intensive training. Base camp is in the NC Mountains where we will launch into the Four Streams, Experiential Counseling & Teaching, Expeditionary Guiding and Matters of the Heart. However, as we are on the trail, when God directs, we follow him deeply into whatever area is necessary for a man's heart to have freedom, purpose and life!

Possible Adventures on this trip include: Fly Fishing, Skeet Shooting, Archery, Canoeing, Rafting, Spelunking, Rock Climbing and Trekking.

After the week long training, the NWA Missionaries and Guides will walk with you in a one-on-one Mentoring/Guiding Relationship for 6 months with the 6 months culminating with a Guided Trip that you plan and guide with your mentors help!

After the successful completion of the training, we will have a celebration and time of releasing and commissioning.
